Finally.....a house update!

These are actually houses and doors that I took pictures of in downtown Charleston when my sister, Lindsay, was here for a visit a few weeks ago. I found the frames at Tuesday Morning for next to nothing and repainted them and put glass in and now they are ready to go. I am so excited--I am not naturally any good at decorating.

The shower curtain holders say Good Clean Fun.

sorry these are fuzzy but you get the idea of the collage.

Master bedroom--I am really excited about the sheets I found that really bring out the beige in the comforter.

I am excited to be able to post the pictures of all of the work I have been doing to attempt to decorate my new beautiful home. I hope you enjoy. I am thinking and scheming about painting as well as curtains, etc. but for now I am most proud of the frames I found and redid and the pictures I took of Downtown Charleston and how well they turned out. :-) Enjoy.

My NEW house!!!!!

Enjoy the pics of my new house :-) It is a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath 1400 sq ft townhouse in Summerville. God really just arranged this perfectly for me! :-) I needed to be out of the house that I was living in by the end of February, so I had talked to a few friends of mine to try to get a decent apartment/house, etc. but everything was falling through. I found this set of townhouses on CraigsList and thought they were really nice. The price was amazing--they are inventory homes for D R Horton so they dropped the price almost $40,000 to get ready for the next phase of building. There will be a total of 97 homes in this gated community once they are finished building. I was able to get financing through a government loan where they gave me $5000 toward the down payment because I didn't make much money. So all in all it has really been amazing to see God work on my behalf. Please come and visit anytime.

Mystery shopping

So...I am a mystery shopper. I think some people think I am nuts but I really enjoy it and...it is fairly decent money. I basically do apartment, fast food (Sonic, Mcdonalds, Dunkin Donuts, etc.), new homes, and a variety of other shops. I probably average about $150 a month plus reimbursements. I know some of my blogger friends are stay-at-home moms, so this is just an idea. I have a document I have put together outlying the companies I work for if anyone is interested. Last night I did a shop for Papa John's. MMM my favorite. I thought you all might enjoy seeing one of the pictures I had to take of the pizza. :-)

When I was home in MN, I thought it would be fun for all of us to go bowling. There is also a bowling alley close to our house called Tuttle's Bowling. The people working there were not overly impressed that we had the same last name as the bowling alley. :-) My parents have never been what one might call "athletically inclined" but it turned out to be a fun family outing. Here are just a few pics. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Mom and Meg!!

I wanted to send a SHOUT OUT to the BEST mom in the world and to Meg too (my little sister :-)). Pretty cool that they were born on the same day--just 31 years apart. :-)

Meg is a quarter of a century today!!--what a milestone.
I love you both very much--have fun at Red Robin!

I was able to fly home to Minneapolis, MN, from December 27 - January 5. It was bitterly cold, but I really enjoyed my time with my family. The pictures document some of our adventures and just some fun shots with the fam. Happy New Year everyone!
